The Agrico Farmer's Account Book contains handwritten notes throughout from an unidentified farmer. The entries include documentation of cattle birth and sales. The book was published by the American Agricultural Chemical Company to advertise Agrico fertilizer.

The Agricultural Ephemera Collection was established in 2015. The collection consists of materials in a variety of formats (advertisements, order forms and blanks, postcards, clippings, and more) that relate to agriculture, farming, livestock, and poultry & fowl, dating from the late 19th century to the present.

This collection contains an Internal Revenue collections account book kept by J. A. Brown of Martinsville, Virginia, from 1889-1892.

Burnett's Wheat Fan Instructions was printed in Salem, Virginia in September 1851, and it contains directions on how to use C. M. Burnett's patent beveled wheat fan.

This collection contains numerous leaflets from the W. Atlee Burpee & Company from 1899-1915. The leaflets discuss planting, seed growing, and other agriculture strategies, and other gardening strageties for American garderners, farmers, and planters.

This collection contains three letters from "produce commission merchant" C. E. Sydnor & Co. of Richmond, Virginia, to the Tarter Brothers of Rural Retreat, primarily related to the purchase and shipment of cabbages.

This collection consists of the family business papers, primarily of John Kammerer and his son, Joseph Kammerer. In addtion, there is material from George W. Jones (likely a business parter or associate) and genearl corresponse relating to the family businesses. Materials date from 1842 to 1914, thought most items are from before 1900.

This collection contains a set of thirteen "Make America Stong" posters that were published by the U. S. Department of Agriculture and the U. S. Government Printing Office in 1941 during World War II. These posters promote dietary needs, healthy eating habits, and ways to fight food insecurity.

This collection contains four boxes of slide sets, some with related scripts, for the Virginia Cooperative Extension's Master Gardener Program. Most materials are undated, but likely date from between the 1970s and early 2000s. Topics include flowers, fruits, vegetables, trees, landscaping, gardening, composting, and careers in horticulture.

The collection contains United States Department of Agriculture, War Food Administration, and other national agency publications from the early 20th century to the present day.
